About Useful Drawer
Useful Drawer is a small collection of browser tools. Each one does a single job — the kind of job that takes twenty minutes by hand and two seconds with the right tool, and that somehow nobody has made a good version of.
Who makes it
It's built and maintained by a small independent studio that makes software and physical products. The tools here started as things needed for other projects and got cleaned up enough to leave the drawer open.
How the tools work
Everything runs client-side, in your browser. When a tool asks for an image, your browser reads it and renders the result immediately — there is no upload step and nothing to wait on.
That is mostly a practical decision. Tools that don't touch a server are cheap to run and quick to use, which is what lets them stay small and single-purpose instead of turning into an app.
What the tools are for
The screenshot and interface generators here are design tools. They exist for mockups, presentations, tutorials, storyboards, portfolio work, and social content — the everyday situations where you need to show what something looks like on a screen.
They are not for passing off generated images as authentic records. The terms spell that out, and it's worth saying plainly here too.
Suggestions
If there's a small tool you keep wishing existed, that's genuinely useful to hear — most of what's on the roadmap got there because someone mentioned needing it. Suggest a tool, or get in touch about anything else.
