An iPhone Notes screenshot is the size of the phone's screen: 1170×2532 pixels on an iPhone 13 or 14, 1179×2556 on a 15, up to 1320×2868 on a 16 Pro Max. The size is set by the device, not the app — Notes fills the screen, so a Notes screenshot is simply a screenshot. What varies is how much text fits inside it, and that is the part worth planning.

The sizes, briefly

iOS lays screens out in points and writes screenshots at three times that, so every modern iPhone produces an image around 1200×2600 pixels — tall, narrow, and sharp. How much text fits

At the Notes app's default text size, a screen holds roughly 150–200 words before scrolling — a short statement, not an essay. Past that you have three options, in order of preference: cut the text, shrink the type a step, or accept that the note continues off-screen, which readers understand but screenshots handle badly.

Fitting text deliberately
