What makes a Samsung note look like one

  • The pen tray. Samsung Notes is built around the S Pen, so pen, highlighter, eraser, text, and selection sit along the bottom whenever a note is open. Apple Notes has a markup button and a compose button instead.
  • The date is left-aligned, under the title. Apple centers it above.
  • The actions are undo, redo, and overflow, in the app's own gray — not Apple's amber share-and-compose pair.
  • Dark theme goes to true black, which is what a Galaxy AMOLED panel actually shows.

Export sizes

  • Galaxy S24 / S25 — exports at 1080×2340px (Galaxy S-series and most A-series at 1080×2340)
  • Galaxy Ultra (QHD+) — exports at 1440×3120px (Galaxy S Ultra and Plus switched to QHD+, at 1440×3120)
  • Galaxy Z Flip — exports at 1080×2640px (Z Flip main display at 1080×2640 — a taller 22:9)

Questions

How is this different from the iPhone Notes tool?

The bottom bar, mostly. Apple Notes carries a markup button and a compose button. Samsung Notes carries a pen tray — pen, highlighter, eraser, text, and selection — because the app is built around the S Pen and that tray is on screen whenever a note is open. Samsung also sets the date left-aligned beneath the title, where Apple centers it above.

Can I turn the pen tray off?

Yes. It is a toggle, because the tray is not always showing in real use — a note opened for reading on a phone without an S Pen looks cleaner without it.

What resolution does it export?

Whatever the selected Galaxy actually writes — 1080×2340 for the S24 and S25 preset, 1440×3120 for QHD+, and 1080×2640 for the Z Flip.

Is the typeface the real One UI font?

No. One UI uses SamsungOne and Samsung Sharp Sans, neither of which is licensable for use on the web, so these screens render in Inter — close in proportion and weight, but not the same face.

Is anything I type sent anywhere?

No. The tool runs entirely in your browser and there is no server behind it. The note is rendered locally and gone when you close the tab.
