Content calendars, pitch decks, client approvals, portfolio pieces, and design work where the post needs to look real before it is real. It is the job a wireframe does, for a feed.

Everything stays on your computer

The card is drawn in the page and exported by your own browser. Photos and profile pictures you add are read from your files and never leave the machine, because there is no server here to receive them.

Questions

Why would I mock up a post instead of just posting it?

Because approval usually comes before publishing. A mockup lets a client, a manager or a teammate see exactly what the post will look like in the feed, including the crop and where a long caption truncates, while it can still be changed. It is also how you fill a content calendar or a pitch deck with posts that do not exist yet.

Does my photo get uploaded?

No. It is read from your own file with the browser's file reader and drawn straight into the preview. There is no server here to upload it to.

What size is the export?

940 pixels wide, with the height following the content, rendered at twice the size shown so it stays sharp in a deck or on a retina screen.

Can I use this to fake a real account's post?

You can type anything into it, the same as any image editor, and that does not make it lawful. Putting invented words or numbers against a real person or business can be defamation or passing off. Use it for your own posts, for clients you work with, and for invented examples.
